Five more Maruti workers get bail

Five more Maruti workers, arrested in connection with the violence in the company’s Manesar plant four years ago, were granted bail by a trial court here on Monday. With this, 139 of the 150 workers arrested in the case so far are now out on bail.

The four persons who have been granted bail are office-bearers of then Maruti Suzuki Workers’ Union.

It is the first instance when the office-bearers of then workers’ union are granted bail by the court. Eighteen Maruti workers were granted bail last month by the trail court.

Additional Sessions Judge R.P. Goyal granted bail to the five accused – Sunil, Sandeep Dhillon, Pawan, Suresh and Dhanraj.
